Why people fail to make money online

6 Reasons Why People Fail to Make Money Online

Here are the biggest reasons why people fail to make money online!

You’re probably here because you heard that you can make money with the power of the Internet, especially knowing that once you’re able to do it, you can say goodbye to your boss and enjoy amazing freedom that you won’t find anywhere else!

But now nothing seems to be working and you feel like you have failed at being able to make money online. And it doesn’t matter if you’re doing affiliate marketing or trying to sell something you already have. It seems like you’re stranded! Why is this happening and is there still any hope for success? Fortunately, there is!

In this article, I’ll give you six common reasons why people do not typically see any income on the Internet, and I’ll also share some advice on what you can do to ensure that you’re heading in the right direction to succeeding in making money online.

1. They don’t believe it’s possible.

“To see is to believe.” That’s what gets people believing in something. But the truth is, when it comes to making money online, you have to believe in order to see. Now you may be wondering: what does my faith in this have to do with me being able to make money online?

Well, here’s the thing: we live in a society that is so accustomed to earning money right away. All people have to do is clock in to work and do what they need to do, knowing they’ve made their salary. Unfortunately, making money with an online business is different. You’re not going to see the instant fruits of your labor, and the more you don’t see that money, the more despair you’re going to have, and the better chance you’re going to quit.

All it takes is to simply believe that you will succeed and make some money and accept the fact that what you have earned from your work will come at a later time, a time that I promise will be all worth it. So in the meantime, just keep at it and always believe in yourself and in the work you are doing to make money online. All the time you spend on your online business will really pay off, and speaking of which, that leads me to my next reason.

2. They don’t want to wait.

“Time is money,” but in this case, giving your online business time can definitely make you money!

As I said before, making money online is not going to be instant. There is absolutely no “get-rich-quick” scheme. This is why people get frustrated when the work they put online doesn’t earn them money right away. So someone might get started on their online business and work on it for a week. Every day throughout the week, they look at their analytics and just get impatient because they’re not getting any traffic or earning any money.

Truth be told: making money online takes time and it could take a lot of time. In fact, you have to be willing to work on your business no matter how long it takes you to start earning money. Most entrepreneurs on the Internet find success once they’re at least six months in, while others may realize it after 2-3 years of work! Simply be patient, believe in the process (like I said before), and give your work time to come to fruition.

Now that doesn’t mean you abandon your work while you wait. You need to continue to work on your business, even if you don’t see money or traffic coming in! While you have to let the time pass in order to succeed, you must invest your time in order to attain the results you seek. So keep working and give it time.

3. They are afraid to invest money.

When it comes to starting any kind of business, it will require the entrepreneur to take the risk of spending money. The problem is many people don’t want to invest online, but that really shouldn’t be an excuse to get started.

After all, there is a lot of upfront cost in a brick-and-mortar business. You have to pay every month to keep the building up as well as pay every time to restock on merchandise. So, compared to a brick-and-mortar business, it’s actually more affordable to start an online business!

Now don’t get me wrong. Yes, you can start a successful online business with zero investment, but it will require you to put more time and effort, and it will probably take you years before you find success. On the other hand, if you can just invest a little money upfront, you can see success a little quicker and find the investment truly rewarding once you reap the fruits of your labor later on down the road. For instance, it only takes around $100 to create a blog. All it takes is a Benjamin Franklin bill and some startup effort on your part, and after months of dedication, you will see success earning some income from a blog.

With online business opportunities at our fingertips, investing on something that can potentially change your life can’t get any better, so take that leap of faith. You may be pleasantly surprised!

4. They are not resourceful.

Lack of resourcefulness demonstrates lack of creativity. What are people going to do if they encounter obstacles on the road to finding income success online? Chances are, they get so much heartache from all the problems they’re seeing and just decide to quit this game of online entrepreneurship.

I know it may be hard for many people to think independently and from their own two feet, but this honestly should become a habit. Don’t lose hope just because the process of making money online is challenging you. Use the resources that we have at our fingertips to your advantage, and let those challenges help you to become better, not hinder you to become worse!

The best place to go for resources on your own is none other than Google. If you run into a technical issue with your business or have any questions you would like answered, type your query on Google and find a website that offers a good solution to your problem. Now if you’re not particularly keen on research, you can seek advice from a mentor or a coach. You can also take lessons from training courses and there are many you can get started with. For affiliate marketers, there is a great website you can join for free to learn everything you need to know as an affiliate. They also offer power-ups to boost your chances of success. You can find this website over on my RECOMMENDATIONS page (under Best Affiliate Training).

5. They want to be perfect.

As a perfectionist, I personally know what it’s like to micromanage every single thing. Actually, there’s nothing wrong with correcting some flaws because I do it. But if you get too self-conscious and keep telling yourself you’re never going to do it, that’s a problem.

The good news is no one is perfect, so you don’t have to be perfect to succeed. A good maxim reads: “You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.” The only way to see the success is to JUST DO IT, even if you make mistakes!

In fact, every online entrepreneur has went through much trial and error to get to the point where they are. So the next time you see some successful guy showing online income proofs, don’t think that he’s some hero who’s got the magic touch, because those kinds of people just don’t exist! Instead, think of him as a normal everyday person like you and me who just went through failures to get to the point of where he is now.

So, embrace your flaws and rather than be afraid of them, use them to better yourself. There is always room for improvement, even when it comes to making money online!

6. They have shiny object syndrome.

Now you may be wondering: what is “shiny object syndrome”? It’s basically when someone gets distracted by all the amazing methods he discovers and thus doesn’t do much of anything to get himself going.

As an example, suppose someone learned how money is made on YouTube. After he learns, he makes a YouTube channel and uploads several videos, hoping to make some money. While he is waiting for that income, he goes ahead and learns of a different method of making money through Amazon. He sees how much simpler it is to do Amazon, so he quits YouTube and signs up for Amazon. Days later, he finds out about blogging and so guess what happens? He forgets about Amazon and puts some money into starting a blog instead.

Do you see what’s happening? This person was lured by different “shiny objects.” For each one that gets to him, he takes up a new method and quits the one he was working on before.

It’s completely fine to change your mind. But if you do it too many times, the problem is that you lose focus and won’t do anything. You shouldn’t be juggling so many methods at once and act like the “jack-of-all-trades.” The only real way to make money online is to choose just one moneymaking method, concentrate on it, and get better at it. And the better you become at it, the better your chances are of seeing that online income rolling in!

Conclusion

Hopefully, this article helped shed some light on you, especially if you’re skeptical as you learn and implement this idea of making money online. I also hope you find this advice useful to you as you get going on your online business.
